Reem specializes in working with adults navigating multicultural and cross-cultural challenges, including identity development, family expectations, cultural pressures, and major life transitions. I provide culturally responsive support for Arabic-speaking individuals, immigrants, international professionals, and diverse clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief, and adjustment to social, cultural, and personal change. My work focuses on helping clients feel understood while building resilience, clarity, and confidence as they navigate the complexities of balancing multiple cultural identities and life experiences.
A good rule of thumb to help you decide whether you need counseling, is to ask whether any of the symptoms, like sadness, anxiety, or any other distressing feeling is affecting your functioning in life. Is depression preventing you from going to work or socializing? Is anxiety affecting your relationships or your school work? Are your sleeping and/or eating issues affecting your health?
If so, maybe it is a good time to see a therapist.
Of course just feeling "bad" is reason enough too.
Reem's deep multicultural experience was developed as a working professional throughout the United States, Middle East and Europe. She provides counseling in English and Arabic and has served clients from American, Arab, Asian, Hispanic and European backgrounds.
